The CESAR system is suitable for application to the large engines found in trucks, buses, locomotives and ships to improve fuel efficiency. There are an estimated 9 million engines of this type in use worldwide.
The CESAR system can be applied directly to large engines fitted to locomotives, ships and military vehicles to provide supplementary electrical power. The CESAR system could also be integrated easily into the power train of a diesel-electric 'hybrid' bus. The concept of a 'hybrid' engine (part steam/ part gasoline) has been investigated, and with development, is highly feasible for application to passenger cars. A further advantage for military applications is that the CESAR system significantly reduces the temperature of the exhaust gas 'plume' hence also providing a tactical advantage.
CPT aim to develop collaborations and licensing agreements with the major engine OEM's to maximize the widespread application of the technology.
